A Qatari Air Force F-15QA fighter jet claimed it shot down 2 Iranian SU-24 Fighter-Bomber jets which were heading to bomb the US base there.
China spoke to the Saudi Foreign minister and comitted to sending envoys to negotiate peace in the region.
A US Navy submarine sunk the IRIS Dena off the coast of Sri Lanka, the Iranian Navy ship was carrying 180 people, of whom more than 140 are feared dead after the US submarine refused to aid the sailors of the ship.
The US Navy would repeat this by striking the IRIS Shahid Sayyad Shirazi off the coast of Iran and refusing to pick up the sailors again.
It is to be noted, even the Nazi Kreigsmarine and the Imperial Japanese would almost always pick up sailors from ships they sunk unless they were in mortal danger themselves, which the US crews weren't in at all, as both attacks happened on lone ships in international waters with no escorts or protection of any kind.
