Well, a tube is one hole (like a tunnel?), it is a an elongated torus (a donut) that is technically one hole no matter how long or short it is.

I am not mathematically coherent enough to parse the nature of a t-shirt in that way, but now I feel as if my brain is folding.

I think a t-shirt might be 2 holes crossing?
