right, people act like determinism and free will are mutually exclusive - my perspective is that i can make any choice at any moment. this choice was determined at the start, but was always going to be what i wanted

but how do you think that determination took place?
because space is a mere snooker table of atoms? quantum super-states would disagree with that deterministic imagination of physics, i suppose

but then who can say that quantum mechanics are truly random? sure, they are for all real purposes because even if they aren't, they're incalculable, but in the end, for philosophical questions like this, who knows?

sure, but given this is philosophical rather than mathematical or simply logical, i think most people's interest lies in whether their behaviour is predetermined or not, not whether or not it's actually feasible to predict it at a subatomic scale
