Yeah, that’s when it mostly comes up! And generally it’s just a “wait and see” type of deal… there might be hints with how I feel about wearing certain outfits, or other pieces of my gender presentation. But those don’t always align with the language bit. Like, for example, someone on here just used “he” to refer to me, and that felt a little icky today, but perhaps later today or tomorrow I’ll be fine with it. But there are roughly an equal amount of days where “she/her” feels icky—so I currently have a setup where nearly everyone I know IRL uses “she/her” for me (because that’s mostly how I present), my discord friends use “she/they” (because that’s also what feels most natural to them, but some of them kinda know a little more about my gender shit), and my IRL best friend uses almost exclusively “he/him” (they know the most)… so it gets somewhat close to balancing out, yknow?
