I’m very familiar with Mouthwashing and I feel the same way!! I think there’s a very important reason why the devs put the player in his shoes as the POV character, and I think avoiding all discussion of his character beyond “he bad” is missing the point. He’s got a lot of depth to his character, and while it’s definitely meant to be uncomfortable to discuss, I don’t think it’s a conversation the devs intended for people to avoid entirely. Otherwise… why make him the main character at all? It’s the same with Bojack Horseman, though I think people in that fandom are a lot better at holding space for nuanced conversations about him compared to Jimmy.
