something doesnt sit right with me . humans are afraid of death , yet when someone talks about being immortal , they say that they dont want that either and that theyre scared the possibility of never - ending life . i dont understand this . what should i want and what should i fear ? so confusing .

People are afraid of what they don't know. People don't know what lies before death, and people don't want to live in a world where everyone they love will eventually die, leaving them behind. That's how I reasoned with it, at least.
