I’m not conflating the two, I’m explaining the difference between them and that people often conflate them. I’m also talking about a specific situation that happened to me, as a Jewish person experiencing antisemitism. Also, Judaism is an ethnicity?? I don’t know why you’re trying to argue that it’s not when I am ethnically Jewish, not religiously. It’s both.

Alright, I’ll give another example. My mother has a Chinese friend who said to her “you know, the Chinese government has committed many atrocities, but when I mention that I’m Chinese, I don’t get asked whether I support that, but when you’re Jewish, not even Israeli, but Jewish, it’s often the first thing on people’s minds. Why is that?”
