On one hand, congratulations to the engineers for creating a service that is greatly appreciated, is broadly used and offers actual utility. On the other hand "How will this change OpenRouter?" Will the so called "free models" now have a Stripe flavored meter running? Will they help solidify the notion that there is no such thing as a free lunch?
I sincerely hope not.
Acquisitions are a funny thing, we try to offer the benefit of the doubt to the acquiring company. That grace usually runs thin after the quarterlies are released.
