the rise in racist violence in the uk is not unexplainable.
People follow the things they see. The more of certain stimuli they see, the more their thoughts focus on those stimuli.
This is exactly how we can combat the increase in racist activity and political power. By putting everything we have into promoting community action, safe places to live, solidarity across communities.
But most crucially, by creating more progressive activity to engage with. Not just in the little time we have after work!
We need more ethical businesses that can actually pay a decent wage, and the way to achieve that is through wide-scale community buy-ins for collective ownership. That way, consumer costs can come down and the reach of our wages can increase.
