Part three of the Norse myth
Loki uses the gold to cover the otter’s body, and fill it too. But there was still a whisker showing. So reluctantly, Loki takes off the cursed ring and puts it on the heap of gold, covering the otters last whisker. The old man and his sons run the gold through their fingers, and the rope unravels from the grip they had on Odin and bor. while the men are distracted, Odin, Loki and bor leave. The old man declares that the gold will be all his. Fafnir disagrees, and then stabs his father with a sword, killing him. Regin is shocked. Fafnir laughs, before turning into a dragon, before taking the gold and flying to a distant cave. After a few years, Regin grows older. He adopts a child called Sigurd, who he raises telling about the horrible dragon Fafnir that lives in a distant cave. Sigurd grows up strong, training for the day he would kill the evil dragon Fafnir and avenge Regin’s father. He did not know Fafnir was regins brother. End of part 3
