Part 7 of the Norse myth
Sigurd agrees, and the woman is delighted. He explains how he has won a massive fortune, and tells her he will be back for her soon. He leaves the ring of fire to retrieve his treasure.
*months before, in asgard*
Odin calls a Valkyrie to him. He tells her there is a king fighting a battle below and she needs to take him to Valhalla. She glides down in her chariot, and finds the old king fighting against a nimble young man. She thinks Odin will be much more delighted with this strong young man rather than the old king, so she takes him to Valhalla instead. Odin is furious at the Valkyrie for disobeying him. He casts her down to Midgard, with a curse. She will fall into a slumber in a ring of fire, and will only be rescued once a man comes and agrees to marry her.
*back to sigurd* night was quickly approaching. The birds warned of horrible danger, but the dragons heart was wearing out. The birds continued chirping as usual. Sigurd eventually reaches a castle, where he decides to rest.
