It differs from person to person but I know period blood was the worst tasting blood I've ever tried, most other parts of the body were fine (the arms, thighs, and mouth were the best). Btw I was given consent to taste any of the blood that wasn't my own, and if you plan on tasting other people's please ask before you lick their wounds. Anyway it was a long time ago that I tried it but I think I recall it being more metallic and bitter than the rest, despite the blood that came out of the other areas of that same person's body tasting quite sweet.
