I find it kinda weird that 'minors would be heavily encouraged by the community to mute this tag'. The first idea of people being able to filter out freakposting if they don't like it was good, but it's got about as much potential in stopping minors from seeing it as those 'are you over 18' pop ups on porn sites

It’s more a matter of keeping them safer from back-and-forth discussion on those kinds of posts, which can put them at risk of getting into a grooming/predatory scenario. Beyond that, the internet’s gonna be the internet. But we, as adults, can at least take this one step in helping.

You do have a point tho; minors that want to engage with that will engage with it regardless, and can easily just lie about their age, so something as simple as tagging might not mean much in the long run. I just think giving them the choice to NOT see it would be a good start, at least, so I thought I’d bring up the idea anyways for those that might be interested. You ain’t gotta engage with it if I don’t want to. No rules after all lol. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
