my first kinda "serious-ish" post, but they are building a AI datacenter 30 minutes away from my house and I'm so just feeling defeated, someone graffitied a bunch of election ad board things they had set up everywhere (only of the officials who voted yes to it) which I can get behind honestly.

What's yalls opinions on this?

Im sick of this stuff already. I hate data centers, i hate that our incompetent politicians make the people who live near where the data center is being built, pay for it by having to pay a bigger electricity bill, i hate it all. Its about time Data centers start burning down. For legal reasons, im not serious...dont come at me, law...but honestly, I cant wait for this nightmare to end.

I can support completely destroying that politician's campaign ads, cause fuck him.

it wasn't even just one politician, it was maybe 15... it's a small city, and it's already bad enough. There's a quarry behind my house and a cell tower and I can hear the buzzing in the air. I'm no conspiracy theorist but that's pretty bad already.

damn...you're living in Lain's world from serial experiments lain. No but fr though, that sucks and it double sucks because we put our trust in these politicians only for them to completely shit all over it and build a data center on top of it. Its actually annoying. No one even asked for this...

the only thing you can do to protect your peace of mind is to live the lifestyle that you want to see in the world.

make small changes that align with your mindset. do a lot of research and do not support companies / limit spending money on corporations that do not align with your values.

most importantly, do not be consumed by these massive problematic actions / concepts that are meant to make you feel powerless.

be the change you wish to see in the world, and slowly you'll find connections to the massive variety of people who are doing the same. bc of propaganda, you may never see them, but they do exist, and there's a lot of them.
