the bad new is you will never get over someone you truly, deeply loved fully, but you will be able to make them less important in your mind and make life more beareable. normally for me, this comes not when i hate the person (that's still being attached to them, just in a more twisted [and sometimes addicting] way), but when they repulse me.

the good new is this will eventually come. if you're still missing the person and you can talk to them, i recommend you do so. ik this is what most people advice against, but if 6 months, 1y has passed and you still think about them daily, it's probably because you've created a dream-like idea about who they are. talk to them, even if the first time goes ok it will go bad eventually. you sometimes need to hit your head against a wall until you bleed.
