i had a headcanon afrer playing rdr2 that dutch never really liked john and it was hoseas idea to adopt him . he made it pretty visible and obvious that he didnt care for john , always talking about him like hes a nuisance or something . after playing rdr1 my thoughts on this only intensified , because javier straight up said it to johns face . i think from third person perspective ( javiers ) its pretty obvious too . i feel bad because john is literally me and my favorite character in the whole red dead series .
