there's no reason for boxing, mma and other fighting sports to exist other than to satisfy public bloodlust and make profits for the organisers and advertisers. they should be abolished completely as they lead to injury and even deaths while promoting unnecessary violence (from my experience, men who practice martial arts or are fans of it tend to be much more violent)

Neurons drive consciousness for sure, but there is no neuron for sight or hearing, rather there are networks of them that create the sensations of sight and hearing.

Also, on a fundamental physical level there has to be a physical process that allows this all to happen, otherwise you’re saying that neurons have this weird special place in reality.

If there’s a fundamental process driving consciousness then what I’ve said is true.

This is blatant anthropocentrism. There is no reason consciousness is special. Consciousness is just what happens when neurons congregate. It is just chemistry doing what chemistry does. You can argue theism is spritiually beneficial (which I would debate) – but that doesn't make it more true, or somehow make consciousness integral.

To be clear, if you were to ask a lot Muslims what was true, they would take your position mostly based on respect for some long dead religious figure.

However, I’m telling you that if you interrogate the primary sources, you would struggle to corroborate the story. In fact, every attempt shows it to be false.

I have little interest in following some long dead religious figure that is deemed “authoritative”. My sole focus is in working out what is actually true.

All abrahamic religionists are/were conned into wasting a fuckton of time and resources into worshipping an icon. Think about the benefit of turning every place of worship into housing, community spaces, libraries. Instead they are "monuments" with people that are paid to hang around reading books in a building the size of an apartment block, performing their meaningless rituals.

And this is just the "places of worship" aspect of these delusional dogma's (stylistic tautology). I can go on for hours about the extreme negative consequences this group of religions has had on eurasian society.

The only problem i see with this is that christianity isn't treated the same way. Religion must be banished from this continent, shall we advance past outdated guardrails. Freedom of religion means tolerating intolerance.
