i just learned how to play poker only to realize it's a stupid fucking game. there's no "strategy" at all, you have to have two high cards for even a sliver of a chance to win, and even then you're not safe if you're still in by the flop. you either bounce out and lose a little bit of money, or you check by the river and lose a shit load of money. if i played at an actual casino, i would blow that bitch up after one game

I get what you mean.

I don't know how to play poker but I've tried playing with friends a couple times. Yeah, you can't do much about the cards you get, but I think the skill potion of poker is all in your bluffing ability. If you can bluff the whole room and intimidate them into thinking you have the greatest cards that have ever been dealt then you can potentially win the game. You can also read people and try to find the other player's tells and use that information to figure out who on the table may have good cards vs who's down on their luck.

Much like life, you can't do anything about the cards you've been dealt but what you do with these cards is up to you. That's where your skill shines, that skill being analyzing and manipulating people lmao

I can definitely see how that may not be everyone's thing
