I’d like to argue that botanists and biologists are hornier in general with stuff like the “kissing fish”, and a whole genus of bird being named “tit”

Not even mentioning the other name for canola. (Though that is due to the word coming from Latin but still odd and funny)

I sometimes forget that they were all kids once, so ofc they all have that human element within them where sometimes they just wanna have fun and they'll name a bird tit...

i imagine the bird gets made fun of in animal kingdom gatherings, tits probably introduce themselves as john or something lmao

Its because scientists, in general, are so damn smart and are at the forefront of some really important discoveries, that's why I sometimes forget they're even human.
