Opinion Alert|There are two types of social leftist ideology: Ethnic leftism and Sexual leftism.
They generally do not intertwine, and on a social level, are near incompatible. Broadly speaking, most ethnic minorities are generally more conservative or traditional in value. Ex Mexicans and Catholicism
Again, broadly speaking, if not for the topic of race, would lean more right-wing, which would manifest in American politics as voting for Republicans. Feminist and especially LGBT spaces are ironically predominately white in reality, especially LGBT related issues.
This is because, in my opinion, most gayness, comes from a softening or easing of a society as a whole, not worrying about what you have to put on the table, what streets to avoid at night, or dealing with en masse political corruption. With those conditions, people become more open about sexuality. (Don’t misinterpret this as rich-developed places cause gayness, rather it opens it up for preexisting ones that couldn’t express it before.)
