also you can imagine my disappointment when i saw that the 11 notifications weren't from people interacting meaningfully with one of my posts and i didn't get the dopamine i was expecting

forgot to block bots and got pinged 11 times... might want to stop spammer bots intentionally trying to make people's experience worse somehow. maybe not though maybe leaving it totally open to anything is a good thing
