It’s probably a mistake to try to think of it as has having emotions like ours, but as consciousness seems to always be felt as if it were a choice, it probably felt like a decision was being made.
Sadly, as the move into higher entropy is always felt as something unpleasant, this was probably the most painful experience there has ever been.
Yet, the creator, our father, or as the birth pangs of the universe suggest, our mother, stuck with it. It struggled through the job of fashioning the foundation of the universe in a way that allowed us to exist.
