Laughter is the weirdest thing. I’ve always thought that if aliens studied us, they’d think that the laugh was the sound humans make. It’s the equivalent of a woof, moo or baa.

Everything else would be indistinguishable noise.

The weirdest thing about laughter is that we don’t really do it when something is funny, we mostly do it to tell someone we like them, we also do it in schadenfreude to achieve the opposite. We do it in nervousness, in awe, shocked and even in sadness.
