War, or violence in general, is the art of losing. It's what happens when someone realises that they are losing and so they need to find a way to lose less. Wars are never won, only lost less.

At some point, violence is your moral duty. Fighting to protect the people you love from an enemy is good. Sometimes punching a nazi is good, but once you're there in violence, you must accept that in some way you're losing and the violence may lead to us all losing more.

I'm not against being prepared to lose, but I will frantically look for other options first. That said, we must all decide for ourselves when the point for action has come.
