(2/3) We had a great night until it felt like I full let my guard down, and then I quickly felt myself becoming too much as I acted that way. It’s like the “sober” part of my brain rejects the unmasking live as it happens, and I’m dealing with the results as I’m saying things which in turn makes me lose my train of thought and seem even weirder than before.

Everyone has their level of tolerance, and I seem to be pretty good at exceeding that level. I get it though, I have it too even though I’ll people please until I can’t.

I’ve seen it happen so many times, and can look back and see when it happened.. but the first time I was aware and willingly unmasked at a time of total desperation was to my ex-fiancé, which in turn must have made me seem less attractive and undoubtedly contribute to our breakup.

I could say it’s not my fault that she couldn’t cope with my authentic self, but that’s a cop out. How does anyone love someone that hates themselves? I did a good job of hiding it.
