The Marionette's Prayer

For millenia I operated this beacon
Helping lost souls find their way
To make sure all those wandering
Do not go astray

Ironic, is it not?
I serve as a guide but I am lost
Help others to see but I cannot
Dissapointing it is, to have such thoughts

O Lord, see me;
For I show these lost souls the route
O Lord, notice me;
For I aid to rid of all doubts
O Lord, console me;
For I feel as powerful as a mouse
O Lord, save me;
For it is dark, under this Lighthouse



i wrote this poem for no particular reason;
but it does belong to an oc made from the fusion of references to 2 of my favorite games: White Knucle and Grace

basically this marionnette operates a Lighthouse to help freed souls find their way in the Afterlife. And after doing this for 2 millenia, it has been forgotten and wrote this poem as a prayer.

this is the "poem version". i may do an "soliloquy version" (its when a character talks to themselves on stage in a play) later but idk.
