Lovecraft fact: The Yog-Sothoth from Through The Gates of the Silver Key is NOT the same Yog-Sothoth from The Dunwich Horror, bc in Through The Gates of the Silver Key there is practically 0 Cosmic Horror or Nihilism..., even Lovecraft said that Through The Gates of the Silver Key was a bad story and that the Yog-Sothoth from the story needed to evolve as a concept. The story was also a collab. That’s why I view it as a standalone stor, something that isn't part of the Cthulhu Mythos. Also, I prefer calling them Necronomicon Cycle over Cthulhu Mythos (bc Cthulhu mythos is a name made up by August fucking Derleth, and Lovecraft had only provisional names for his shared cosmology).
