i haven't even touched linux for 1 second(aside from android) and here's all the things i already know
- do NOT install flatpaks or snaps, they are bloated(even though they are reused for other programs)
- DO NOT use ubuntu, it's stupid use mint instead if you want to get a good starting point
- DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING RELATED TO ARCH IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER THEY ARE FOR EXPERIENCED USERS ONLY
- avoid fedora, because of the 1st reason partially and they use webview for their setups
- mint gets updated once in a blue moon, it's absolutely not for opsec demons
