art is something uniquely human. the whole point of art is the intent put behind it and how the artist expresses themselves. it's unique and one of a kind
ai is inherently by design incapable of creating unique works, it's a really fancy copy machine with zero thought or intent
most proper definitions of the word art involve humanity and people in some way, if we're talking about definitions.
ai (as in the generative llms like the ones made by openai) can also only get so smart. the best they can do is slightly worse than a human. copying will only get it to fall short.
ai will also never replace artists, because people crave human art. the need for connection exists in all of us, and art is the greatest way to connect with other people. even if there is no demand for art, people will still create it. people hunger for expression. artists create for themselves first, and then in turn create for the perceiver, and allow the witness to partake in creation through viewing and experiencing
