i don't know what/who to compare my comp sci skill to.
like, i'm miles ahead of every single person in my class but basically noone in my class atually codes. they are only taught the bare minimum of python required to pass finals (most barely understand what a function is) so it's not a fair comparison.
meanwhile tons of self taught guys make crazy stuff on yt or elsewhere. i'd be comparing myself to them but most have IT as their job and a lot more experience, all the while i code in my 2 or 3 free hours of the day after studying for my finals.
it's like i'm in this weird awful middleground where i have no clear realistic standard to uphold myself to. none of my friends are even remotely interested in IT so i don't even have anyone to infodump to.
maybe i'm just coping idk. what do u think chat?
