some birds bob their heads when they walk. there are quite a few theories as to why they do this. the most popular one is that it helps them stabilize their visual surroundings.

I don't remember all of the details right now, but another cool fact is that apparently parrots are unique amongst in that their red hues don't come from carotenoids, but from unique molecules called psittacofulvins! Also, sorta related, a lot of Aussie parrots in particular fluoresce
