turns out i was playing parabola in the wrong tuning that's why it sounded weird. it's in Drop B not Drop D, and I was playing it in Drop D which SOUNDED good, and it seemed simpler, but it didn't go low enough for some parts. also the 2nd part of the intro riff is more fucked up to play in Drop D, but I'm just gonna learn to play it in Drop D
