WOAHH what uni was this?
That sounds so damn cool, what was the inside like? Did they make a cockpit for a pilot? How have i never heard of this?
Also, yeah, its so unfortunate that mechs aren't viewed as practical. It won't stop me from trying to form together a team and trying to make one...if I ever have the money for a giant project like this.
I remember hacksmith tried to make one back in the day, but it was mostly just a platform with multiple legs rather than a proper mech suit...but in the video they did complain about how impractical it is trying to make a mech actually walk...I wonder where that problem starts to occur. Cause I've seen smaller bipedal robots, obviously bigger "gundam"-esque robots will have bigger and stronger legs as well but apparently, at some point, the legs don't scale well and idk if its the energy that it'd require to get giant functioning legs or what, but im curious what the "impractical" factor is with giant gundam-esque robots.
