no fr, DARE is such good song. I love their mv concepts, the whole animated characters interacting with an actual musician's head is so fucking funny but the song bangs so hard.

Harmonica is one of those instruments that I have on my bucket list of instruments I wanna learn. That list isn't that long tbf, its got Harmonica, Piano, Harp, Guitar and Cello. But I don't know how to play any so far and it feels like I'm already too old...ahhh

I'd like some money so I can buy these instruments and get classes already.

Anyway, about Gorillaz, a song that completely unexpectedly became one of my favorites was Sleeping Powder. Its so damn good and the video is very trippy. I also love Tranz and She's My Collar too and On Melancholy Hill...GOSH i love too many songs by them.

and my favorite character has to be 2d lmao
he's a total goofball and I love him

Woo! and FACTS !! The world building goes crazy; I forget a lot of their storyline now, but back in the day I was hella invested in the MV plot lines LOL

Honestly you should note the bullet and just grab one of those; take a look on fb marketplace, people are always selling instruments! Even if lessons are on the pricy side, experimentation is free, and that way you can at least start playing around with the sounds they make (￣∇￣)

Ouuu, I can’t remember them by the name alone (aside from melancholy hill), so I’ll listen to it when I’m home and see if it jogs my memory!! I love a good trippy song; brings back good memories hehe

2D is a goated choice; one of the best characters to draw too because of the hollow eyeballs! I was obsessed with that photo of him in the newsboy cap smoking a cigarette (´∀｀)

I really ought to brush up on the story lines cause im so behind on that.

maybe I should just get it but I'd get so many noise complaints given that I live in an apartment...I hear footsteps from the apartment above all the time and have to walk real slow so I don't bombard the guy living below us with footsteps too...so imagine if I started playing a harmonica all of a sudden. I can def imagine someone yelling "SHUT THE FUCK UP" at me from the hallway or something lmao

I haven't tried drawing any of them but lowkey I have a small sketchbook that I draw random anime characters in. Whenever I watch an anime, if I come across a frame I really like I'll try to draw it in that book and maybe I'll draw the band in there too!

Yknow, Daft Punk is a band that I havent really done a deep dive on. Ive heard their popular songs but i am missing out on so much more when it comes to Daft Punk. Such a cool name for a band too

Do you listen to the strokes btw? Their album "The New Abnormal" is so fucking good!!! Not a single skip on that whole album, but my personal favorites have to be Selfless, Bad Decisions, Why are Sundays So Depressing and The Adults are Talking, in no particular order pfc.

I used to listen to the strokes in high school / uni, but now I just have a few on my song rotations! I have a friend who’s obsessed with Julien Casablancas so I get the occasional infodump about them haha

Is it meant to be listened to in order or just a compilation of good songs?

And yessss Blame has outstanding art!! There’s like 3 lines of dialogue but it still managed to be such a cool story !!!

I say listen to it in order, not that it has a story or anything...I can't remember if the songs flow into each other or not but the album is fire tho!

Honestly, I heard different songs at different times until I finally decided to listen to the whole album. I had never heard of the strokes before that, but it was actually such a banger album. Personally, I'd give it a 10/10.

And yeah, I love how Blame is so minimal in its text...that's so difficult to do :<
ik there is a competition for "silent" mangas, where you can't use any words. I could never, whenever I try to write a manga, i can't write minimally. Its a real talent fr to just rely on your pristine world building and illustration to speak for itself.

Right? I've been really getting into albums recently. And I have so much more to listen to, I'm quite excited!!

As of late, I've heard Bjork's Vespertine which was absolutely gorgeous, Aurora's What Happened to the Heart is stunning. Anything by twenty one pilots is automatic 10, except scaled and icy which I haven't heard yet.

OOH but, there is a song that I'm curious about your thoughts on. Its Mirele - Если бы Любовь. Do you listen to songs in other languages btw? Like even if you don't know the language?

As for the text volume, its not as much as Death Note, its still more than I would like though. I also feel like my panels don't flow as well between one another but I suppose I'll get better at it with practice.

I like the variety in your music taste; I've heard of all 3 of these people/groups, but haven't actually listened properly to them, so I'm glad to be getting some suggestions ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

I will listen to anything from anywhere, and am completely serious when I say this. I'm listening to the Mirele song as I type, and I like the spacey vibe; it's a good dichotomy with the natural melancholic tone of the language !! Like having a really fun time celebrating your birthday, even if no one showed up to the party.

Do you have Spotify by any chance? And if so, do you have any interest in doing a blend?

Have you tried doing smaller comic-style strips before? Doing ultra-condensed formats of your story ideas as a writing/drawing exercise may help your brain!
