local internet user finds out about peer pressure and predatory advertisement

i was 16 and being abused and looking for an escape for my huge anxiety and depression and i got a nicotine addiction and now i cant easily quit. also this shit was marketed for teens to develop an addiction cause cigarettes sales were down because younger generations didn't want to smoke so they made nicotine taste like cotton candy to hook the younger people on nic. The nicotine industry is evil and i do plan on quitting in the next ten years. My wife is holding me to my promise to quit lol. Oh also dont diss weed too much as a drug, its the only glue holding alot of people together and helps people alot and should be treated more like alcohol then a hard drug. (i live in a legal state and its awesome and makes life easier). also actual drugs also hook people like me when their teens. my best friend had a heroin addiction because she just wanted to escape her horrible life. sometimes people make mistakes in their teens that are hard to come back from. she quit heroin, but not everyone is able to like that

lots of people do it -> "oh this is popular surely it won't hurt to try it" -> nicotine addiction

So from all of these comments it’s mainly depressed/abused people tryna escape reality, good thing I’m not depressed!!!

because drugs are cool. but yes you should quit smoking nicotine. Find a balance… as someone who’s abused substance and is now like 87% sober. it’s all good fun, but eventually you have to draw that line and understand how bad it is…

but for an actual reason? that lower inhibitions. wether alcohol , weed, ket, cigarette. doesn’t really matter… that state of being out of yourself is fucking bliss when being within yourself is difficult… it’s better than the alternative…

that being said it’s 100% naïve and counter productive and you *should* learn temperance. there’s a reason they’re so popular in a fucked up world like ours
