Yeah, the way I see it, in the same way a game of football has this system we’ve invented to decide who wins, we’ve also invented the concept of money, which is the main driver of what decides what your job is.

Also, the title and position that further defines your job is often just a social game that doesn’t really define what you do very clearly. A lot of your job is to take part in being the social glue of a group of people.

As for leadership, one of the things I’ve noticed is that there are not many decisions any leader can make. They’re mostly following the advice of advisers and working with what they’ve got. On top of that, leadership hierarchies are absolutely a game we play, not unlike football, where we convince ourselves that we should obey the orders of a person.
