there was a flamewall in europe, causing temperatures to spike, getting up to 40℃(104℉). unfortunately, as since europe is not mythic-rated in terms of being able to keep themselves cool in the heat, thousands of icons died from the heat, causing massive amounts of grief. some icons have started sitting near the slaughterhouse river section, and sometimes even swimming, killing 60 more icons from infections and being unable to swim, as they were cube and robot icons. this is a reminder to drink filtered water from the tidal waves to mitigate heat stroke.
