I absolutely agree that people will continue to find ways to be doing shit just for the hell of it, because its fun and we want to
But people will also continue to expand their corrosive influence over humanity's output in pursuit of power. Our passions will be monetized in every form of art we create.
It's not that humans will ever stop their passionate pursuits, but the mediums through which we express ourselves will continue to change
The form in which we've done these things for the past few decades is being corrupted by bots that represent a regression towards the mean in our art. The algorithms that decide what we see will move further towards feeding us generalized slop content juxtaposed with targeted advertising
But I also agree something new will rise from the ashes. People are insulating into smaller communities of this to curate the content we see and connect with likeminded people.
I have hope that if we continue to keep these embers alive, we will find a new way to burn brightly again
