Have any of you guys seem the new season of Rick and Morty? I think it’s truly insane how half of the episode are extreme y thoughtful and often philosophical episodes with a high concept and really good writing, and then the other half of episodes are the most meaningless narratives ever created, where stuff just happens with no meaning or purpose. Do watch season 8 though there are some gems

Yeah, season 8, I have watched it. Don't remember a lot of details from it. But I do remember liking it, the philosophically driven narratives aren't that many anymore, like in the beginning of the series. But maybe that's kind of the point that they kind of get into the pointless of stuff?
Although I doubt it, it feels like they're just going for 'funny stories' nowadays.

Although, some still goes into the same philosophically driven way like the one with the citadels remains.
