That's the problem, young people are forced to help seniors, whether those seniors respect them or not. I don't hate gramps and grams, but they don't need a voice in long-term decisions. Seniors who vote for their own benefit at the cost of younger generations receive 0 negative effects, since those are shifted to juniors.

You're assuming people are logical thinkers, but they're not. People are fucking selfish and that is why democracy would benefit from limits.
