yeah i think i get your point. but the thing is that voting long-term *is* beneficial for them. young people helps older ones, and no young person wants to help someone who doesn't care.

seniors will have to think long-term, and respect the younger ones, because they wouldn't be able to live properly without them. the idea i defend is that the society can defend itself from awkward people (in this case, short-termists seniors). those people get no choice but to help society, or be hated by / excluded from society.
