Kisara nestled her head against Mari's bare chest. The smoothness of skin against her own fur was comforting in a way. Kisara could only imagine it was the same for Mari.
"You okay?" Kisara muttered.
Mari's hand ruffled against the peak of Kisara's head, flattening the felines ears. "Why would you ask that?"
"Because I'm not Hidaka, or Yukihiro. Why settle for me when you could have one of the guys?"
The petting stopped.
A soft kiss was planted on the top of Kisara's head.
"I didn't settle for you in any way Kisara." Mari's hand gently lifted up Kisara's chin.
Feline eyes met human eyes as Mari continued.
"Sure. Maybe I have a thing for beast people." Mari chuckled. "But what I know is you're beautiful, and you were the best friend when I needed one. You're deserving of love and I'm more than happy to be the one to provide it to you."
Mari pulled Kisara's chin forward. Human lips met feline as the two girls shared a kiss.
A gentle purr blossomed from Kisara as she nestled back in Mari's bosom.
