I don't think many people care. Judaism is heavily associated with israel (duh), which is itself heavily associated with zionism (duh). During WW2, you would ask a similar question to germans. It's a matter of association.
Newsflash: if you discover someone is Jewish and your first question is “are they a Zionist”, you’re being antisemitic!! Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
