rare NON-stolen motivational quotes #3
okay, this one’s gonna be longer than usual.
our family owns a summerhouse in a small town. we don’t have electric heating, so most of the summer is spent cutting up wood logs so they can be stored properly.

to make this easier, we have an wood splitting machine. everyone knows how to use it. hold down 2 levers to make the blade go down, the stronger you push them down, the faster it moves. whenever my brother, my dad, or my uncle are operating it, it always dies at least once while they’re cutting. this happens to everyone.
except for me.
why?
it’s simple, yet noone seems to understand.
when you’re pushing down on a piece of a log, you can hear the woodsplitter getting stressed, as it’s using a lot of pressure. despite these sounds, noone stops, if anything they try to pull harder till it dies.
meanwhile me, as soon as I hear this overstress, I pause.
