I’m thrilled about a small project I’m building at home: a fully offline AI on a laptop that functions as a personal assistant, librarian, and coding expert. I’ve downloaded the entire Wikipedia, all Reddit posts and comments, the complete StackExchange network, RFCs, OpenStreetMap, Project Gutenberg, and numerous other datasets. Every piece of data is organized into chunks and transformed into vector embeddings, stored in a RAG database that feeds a local Mistral 7B AI. Prrretty neat, huh?
Future lockdowns will be harder to implement. If the media attempts to generate similar levels of fear again, even normies will ignore it because public trust in institutions and news sources has been significantly eroded.
