for me it's not as often math as it is reasoning, listening comprehension and sometimes just plain unwillingness to even try to understand what a person is saying if the sentence is longer than 10 words.
like, it's ok to not know calculus if you aren't interested in math & don't use it daily but come on, you have to at least understand what a hypothetical is to be a functional human being ._.
