Imagine an analog horror story about the life of an anxiety-driven office worker who believes he is the only actual sentient being in the world. It would have this artistic decision where there is only ever one person on camera at a time, you would never see two people in the same frame, ever. You would also get these occasional wide shots of him in the office or walking through the streets, but the camera would only show him from angles where you can see his forverd body and the space behind him, with nobody else visible, despite the constant sounds of people nearby, talking, working, and going about their lives. The main narrative would revolve around whether or not he is actually the only real person in the world, or if heβs simply imagining it. We would also get glimpses of his past life, where he made many bad decisions regarding his family and the people he thought he cared about. The underlying narrative would obviously be dissociation.
