apparently putting your hand in a fist but your thumb inside the fist (probably a bad way of explaining it) gets rid of your gag reflex temporarily

yeah gripping it with the same hand

so like imagine you have your right hand balled up into a fist
you go and put your thumb under the fingers and apparently that gets rid of it (probably explained a little bit better)
