your obsession with these 'idiots' whom you blame for everything is precisely the 'fictitious struggle' which you describe; you are talking about yourself. having compassion for others isn't weakness. it's understanding that you too are fallible, then recognising those same flaws in others and choosing to love them anyway. the point is that by embracing your own weaknesses, you become infinitely stronger. constantly attacking perceived weaknesses in others doesnโt build you up or actually change anything but breaks you down from the inside and makes you blind to your own vulnerabilities, leaving you stuck in a recursive loop of infantile hypocrisy and finger-pointing from which nothing good can come. you are blinding yourself with hate when you might actually have something to learn from those whom you dismiss as idiots. for example, you might discover that what you deem as pathetic in others may actually be a tenderness you are not allowing yourself to feel, but would make you a better man.
